COVID-19 SUPPORT GROUP UPDATE
All face-to-face support group meetings will be temporarily suspended. Support for victims and survivors is still available through our 24-hour crisis line. Please contact your advocate if you are a member of any YWCA Kalamazoo support group and are in need of additional or emergency support.
“Baby Bump” Peer Support Group Tuesdays 1:00 pm- 2:30 pm
Baby Bump is a peer support group for pregnant, postpartum, and interconception families with children ages 0-5 years old in Kalamazoo County. This group offers fun, hands-on activities and
education of relevant topics like:
- Baby’s care and safety
- Baby’s growth and development
- Baby’s nutrition
- Breastfeeding
- Healthy relationships
- Mom’s health during and after pregnancy
- Reproductive health
- Safe sleep practices.
Additionally, Baby Bump invites guest speakers to help teach and facilitate conversation about how parents can teach, bond, and interact with their children. Making it Real Parenting Class Wednesdays 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
This is a nine-week parenting class open to survivors of domestic abuse, substance abuse, or other crisis situations; who are raising children, experiencing CPS involvement, or want to gain positive parenting skills. Dinner and childcare are provided. Please call for more information and to pre-register.
Goodnight Moon – Infant Safe Sleep Workshop
