Community Outreach

YWCA Kalamazoo’s Project Speak Up is dedicated to building inclusive communities through engaging presentations, training opportunities and community outreach, using tolerance based curriculum with a focus on bystander intervention and violence prevention. Utilizing videos, open and honest dialogue, and interactive learning experiences, Project Speak Up aims to raise awareness, build personal and collective responsibility, and provide skills to challenge violence throughout our lives and community.  We are supporting efforts for community collaboration uniting individuals and connecting them to resources at YWCA Kalamazoo.

These opportunities are available upon request for schools, colleges, groups, organizations, events, or businesses in Southwest Michigan.

Please contact our Community Outreach Specialist, Demetrias Wolverton at dwolverton@ywcakalamazoo.org, for further information or to schedule a presentation.
